Combat Diabetes Naturally 2

Picking up on my grandmother’s treatment for diabetes I have decided to compile a list of herbs that treat diabetes for everybody’s benefit. These herbs are used as supplements or as cooking ingredients.

Fenugreek has been clinically tested to be responsible for stimulating insulin secretion. Cinnamon is another tasty herb that is added to food while cooking and is known to decrease blood sugar. Turmeric is another such herb – works well when taken with warm milk or in food preparation. Neem leaves can be taken in a raw state or as ayurvedic pills to reduce blood sugar. Asian Ginseng has long been used in Chinese medicine to lower glucose levels.

Gingko Biloba improves blood circulation which is very important for diabetics. Stevia found in South or Central America is an alternative sweetener widely used in Japan. It does not increase blood sugar greatly. The Indian Kino tree is widely used in Ayurveda to produce insulin naturally in the body. Bitter Melon is another medical herb with similar properties as the Indian Kino

Although not much research has been done on these herbs they have been known to work for generations, long before modern medicine came into being. If you want, you can consult with a herbal medical practitioner and remember to continuosly monitor your blood sugar levels while adding the herbal supplement to your other medicines.
