Last time we examined the Finger stick method of determining blood sugar. The second method to find out what your sugar level is the Noninvasive method.
There is no drawing of blood in the Noninvasive method. You have to wear the watch on your wrist and the reading is done through an electric current that gets fluid from your skin into the machine. This is how the sugar level is measured.
This test is no substitute for the Finger stick test. However it is useful to study the trends in blood sugar throughout the day. There are some things to remember while checking blood sugar by the noninvasive method.
For three hours before the reading do not swim or bathe and wear the device. When you use the device enter the reading obtained through a finger stick test. If you want readings can be taken for 12 hours every 20 minutes. If you want an alarm can be set of if the sugar levels go to extremeties
It is very essential to remain on top of your diabetes illness and for this it is crucial to measure sugar regularly. Learn how to do this yourself so that you are more independent and have more time for exercise and life.
