Yoga and Diabetes
Research has shown that Yoga can have a very positive impact on the life of diabetics. For this it is needed that yoga instructors work closely with their students. Although there is no cure for diabetes in Yoga, it is an effective treatment for the illness.
By following a strict regimen of yoga, diabetes can be well controlled. With regular and committed yoga practice many marked improvements in a diabetics life take place. Yoga benefits the blood circulation and the circulatory process. This is why yoga is so healthy for people with a number of different ailments.
The side effects in diabetics are primarily due to circulatory problems. With the breathing, stretching and rotational movements, circulation increases. With the increase in oxygen going to internal organs and the endocrine glands the overall health of the body is promoted.
With back bending exercises, the cardiovascular system benefits. Mobility problems warrant support for such exercises. With breath control exercises (pranayama), pancreas and liver operation is also enhanced. Hormone production is stimulated with the rotations of some postures. Yoga is a way for diabetics to live a long and happy life.
