Consistency in Diabetes Diet
Eight percent of the United States or about 20 million Americans are Diabetic. Many of them have not recieved a formal diagnosis as yet. You probably know someone with this disease. This is why you should know more about living with diabetes.
This disease is more likely to hit older men and Native Americans. If you are non Hispanic and white, you stand the least chance of getting this disease. Diabetes is among the top six killers in the US.
The nature of diabetes is such that it gives rise to other illnesses by making you prone to them. Heart disease, kidney disease, stroke, blindness and a host of other ailments often follow diabetes.
Because diabetes is so deadly, it is important for diabetics to follow a strict diet. A focus on consistency should be the mainstay of a diabetics diet. There should be a regular size of each meal you eat, every day. In addition the meal timings should be regular. 20 percent protien, thirty percent fat and the rest of your diet should be carbohydrates. In addition it is very essential to include fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains and lean protien in your diet.
It is possible to live a good life even after diabetes. All you need is consistency in your diet and regular exercise to live a good life.
